A kitchen island is typically a group of cabinets located within the kitchen and separate from the perimeter cabinetry. It provides additional workspace, storage, and often seating. It is usually topped with a countertop and may include accessories such as finished back panels, outside corner molding, and a seating overhang, depending on the design and intended use.
Kitchen islands are typically built using base cabinets attached together. If you're looking for island cabinets, start by selecting your desired product line. Then, click on the "Base Cabinets" to find cabinets with the proper size and width for your island. You can also add decorative doors to the cabinet sides.
For example, navigate to the Springfield Mist cabinet line and click on "Base Cabinets" to explore the available options for your kitchen island. To add decorative doors to the sides of the cabinets, click on the "Details & Options" button to find suitable base cabinet decorative doors.
